Rebecca Alvarez-Ramos

Rebecca Alvarez-Ramos joined CAASE in April 2024 as the new Bilingual Case Manager. Rebecca completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago, where she double majored in comparative human development and Latin American studies. She took various human rights classes in which she became interested in women’s human rights and the lack of accountability aggressors towards women face. This led to her focusing her senior thesis on femicides in Mexico and the fomentation of violence against women showcased in the media.

As a case manager, Rebecca works with survivors to connect them with various resources they are interested in, such as housing, victims’ compensation, as well as providing holistic support.
