Listening Session for Survivors of Police Sexual Violence

CAASE will host a virtual listening session for survivors of sexual violence at the hands of the police on Tuesday, July 28th, from 12:30-1:30pm.

According to the Cato Institute, sexual violence is the second most common form of police brutality.

Unlike police brutality that can be captured by witnesses or via body cam, sexual violence at the hands of the police flies under the proverbial radar.

CAASE is hosting a listening session for up to 10 participants in an effort to more deeply understand the nature of police sexual violence in Chicago. We’ll hear thoughts on what could be done to both prevent this kind of violence and to hold officers accountable if they commit this kind of violence.

Facilitated by Nikki Patin and Anika Sterling Florez
