Thank You to the Race For CAASE Team!
June 7, 2019
71 Race for CAASE team members crossed the finish line in the Race Against Gun Violence on June 6th. They pledged their run or walk and raised funds to support CAASE’s cutting-edge Prevention Programs. Their commitment to ending sexual harm and diligent work fundraising resulted in a $31,500 boost toward educating young people to deter and prevent sexual harm.
CAASE is now within reach of our $40,000 goal! Build on the fantastic efforts of our team by helping us reach this milestone amount. You have until June 14th to donate. You’ll be supporting vital sexual harm prevention work while doubling the impact of every dollar as your gift will be matched by the Greer Foundation.
Celebrate the team’s accomplishment by donating today!
We are so grateful to everyone who has backed our team. Our runners, walkers, volunteers, and donors showed us amazing support and we know others will join them by the June 14th deadline. We want to especially thank this year’s sponsors—Skadden, Monahan Law Group, Alliant, Porter Wright, Perkins Coie, New Ground, Katten, Alexander Movers, and VMaids—for giving our team the jump start they needed!
Strides for Peace, the organizer of the Race Against Gun Violence, also deserve our thanks. This is our second year in partnership with them and once again they did a wonderful job bringing together anti-violence organizations from across Chicago. By participating, CAASE honored its commitment to meeting survivors where they are—as people embedded in communities with unique, important concerns and priorities.
We’d also like to recognize our Race Team Committee members—Ross Neihaus, Marchant Johnson, Heather Urness, Sarah Crocker, Xenia Chiu, Caroline Jacoby, and Chloe Holt—for their efforts in making make this a successful event!
Remember, you have until June 14th to support the Race for CAASE Team. Help them reach their goal now!
