Tayler Mathews
Tayler joined CAASE in the fall of 2022. Her background in feminist theory and politics informs her research, legislative, and policy role. She advocates for survivors from a gender, race, and disability justice lens.
Tayler completed her undergraduate studies at Augustana College. She then earned her MA in sociology and PhD in political science from Clark Atlanta University. As a graduate student, Tayler advocated for gender equity and organized against sexual harm and LGBTQ discrimination at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). She has participated in several local and national gender justice and survivor-centered organizations including the Know Your IX Campus Action Network, Hollaback! (now known as Right To Be), and Planned Parenthood.
