Running Towards Our Race for CAASE Goals

Each year, our Race for CAASE team laces up in support of our Prevention Programs. While the format of this year’s race changed at the eleventh hour to ensure the safety of supporters, their level of commitment remained the same. Our community took on the challenge of a virtual race, raising funds and their heart rate at the same time. In fact, we raised $33,392.75 of our $40,000 goal on race day! That’s no small feat.

The fight towards gender equity, however, never ends. You can still join our cause by attending this year’s Celebrating Allies

The tireless efforts of our community kept race’s momentum going. Our runners, walkers, and donors supported our vision of a world free of sexual harm and amplified our efforts. We want to especially thank this year’s sponsors—8 Hospitality, Mayer Brown, and Harrison & Held—for backing the team and making the virtual event possible!

We’d also like to recognize George Haines, Iliana Blasdell, LJ Littlejohn, Linda Friedman, Alexa Kowalski, Cicely Taylor, Lisa Holl Chang, and Caroline Jacoby for their successful collaboration organizing the team.

We are indebted to Strides for Peace, the organizer of the Race Against Gun Violence. They not only put together the initial race, but then made the difficult decision to adapt the run/walk as COVID risks increased. By participating, CAASE proved its devotion to the nuanced experiences of survivors and the prevention of future harm.

Remember, you can still support the cause. Join us on October 14 for Celebrating Allies!
